KIMA-tv reported that Yakima police officers were dispatched to the area of S. 3rd St. and E. Beech at a small grocery store after several shots fired from the parking lot towards the store. The shooting occurred just before 1am Sunday morning leaving both glass doors of the store damaged, a victim inside the store with several gunshot wounds and another subject dropped off at a local hospital with a gunshot wound, reports KIMA-tv.

The victim says several subjects in the parking lot shouted gang slurs and gunfire broke out between a black vehicle and the victim, according to KIMA-tv.

KIMA-tv says the wounds are not considered life-threatening at this time, no one is in custody and the detectives and Gang Unit are conducting a follow-up investigation.

KIMA-tv reports the undescribed suspects fled in a black vehicle, possibly a Honda, south on 3rd St and the Yakima Police Department urges anyone with any information to contact them at 575-6200 or call 911.
