Fundraiser Raises Thousands in Money and Food

Thanks to your donations to the 10 Deeds in 10 days fundraiser, community organizations are able to help more people in the Valley today.

The fundraiser by Bill Harris of Bill Harris Used Cars in Selah and Townsquare Media raised food and money for Rods' House, the Selah Food Bank, the Yakima Veterans Center and the YWCA.

All total $15,604 in cash was donated and close to 10,000 pounds of food. All the cash and food were distributed to the four organizations this week by Townsquare Media employees.

Harris says he started the fundraiser 10 years ago as a way to give back to the Yakima Valley for all the years of success he has seen in his Selah business.
