Fire Forces Closure of Popular Campgrounds

The Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is immediately closing Ahtanum Meadows, Ahtanum Campground, and Whites Ridge Trailhead to assist with fire suppression efforts with the Diamond Butte fire. The closures are expected to last at least through the weekend. Access to the Middle Fork Road will be limited to authorized personnel only. Dispersed recreation opportunities are allowed off the South Fork Road, Nasty Creek Road, North Fork Road, and Jackass Road. Campfires are prohibited.
