Fire Burns Restaurant On North First Street

Yakima Firefighters battled a blaze at a restaurant on North First Street early Tuesday. Capt. Jeff Pfaff says when crews arrived at the El Patron Mariscos restaurant at 1026 N. First St. they found flames on the front of the building. The fire was doused within minutes. Crews from a local construction company are already boarding up the building.No injuries reported. Pfaff says they haven't ruled anything out including the possibility of arson. The fire was reported at 1:55 a.m. Tuesday. Damage is estimated at $150,000.
