The number of foreclosure filings is jumping nationwide. But, they’re off here in Washington including Yakima County. 38 Yakima County homes went into some stage of foreclosure last month. The number was 59 in July. Year-over-year local numbers are down even further. There were 117 homes going back to the banks locally one year ago. The foreclosure data from RealtyTrac shows one in every 22-hundred-26 Yakima County homes received a foreclosure filing last month. That’s much lower than the state’s one in every 894 homes.
