Wrong-Way Crash Kills Sunnyside Woman on I-82

Washington State Patrol Troopers say a wrong-way driver was killed in a head-on crash Sunday morning in westbound lanes of I-82. Thirty-four-year-old Gloria Bautista of Sunnyside died at the scene.

Troopers say she was driving east in the westbound lanes when her vehicle collided with another vehicle driven by 38-year-old Juan Roque Maldonado of Yakima.

Maldonado was injured and taken to Sunnyside Community Hospital
The crash happened at about 3:30 a.m. Sunday, four miles west of Sunnyside.
