Fallen Heroes Run Set For Saturday In Selah

The 2016 Run To Remember Fallen Heroes is set for this Saturday at Robert Lince Elementary School in Selah. The run is organized by the family of Selah native Army Capt. Aaron Blanchard who was killed in Afghanistan in 2013. His mother, Laura Schactler says the run raises money for service organizations like the USO. People who helped their family through tough times. "We wanted to pay back and put some meaning in our lives and have some purpose." So they started the run and on Saturday a record turnout is expected. The run starts at 9:00 a.m. for more information check out yakimaruntoremember.org.
