A 17-year-old girl was working at the espresso bar on the 3700 block of Tieton Drive early Thursday morning when she was attacked and robbed. Yakima Police say the man began to beat her and the barista tried to defend herself. Police also say the man continued to kick and punch her, then grabbed cash and ran off. Lori and Scott Rainford own the espresso bar and say they felt their employees were safe. They have security cameras, keep the doors padlocked and use taizers. Their windows are several feet high.  The owners did not think someone could get through so easily. The espresso bar owners called other coffee shop owners in the area to let them know it could happen to them. The suspect is described as a white male, about 6 feet 2 inches. Police are investigating.
