Drive MLK Jr. Blvd?…Find Another Route Next Wednesday

MLK Blvd. will be closed at the railroad tracks Wednesday August 10, 2011 at 6:00 AM and will reopen Wednesday night around 8:00 PM.

‘D’ Street will be closed at the railroad tracks Thursday August 11, 2011 at 6:00 AM and will reopen Wednesday night around 8:00 PM.

BNSF Railroad will remove and replace old tracks with new digging down approximately 2 feet. There will be no thru traffic and motorist will need to use 1st Street to access the East side of the tracks or 3rd Avenue for the west side of the tracks.

Detours will be in place to help motorist using 3rd Avenue, Yakima Avenue and 1st Street.

Businesses are open and access will be provided.

Motorists and Pedestrians are advised to be aware of heavy equipment Please use alternate routes when you can.
