Downtown Summer Nights is back for a 3rd Summer of food, drink &  fun in the summer sun with a weekly trifecta of fantastic music. We hope you’ll join us each Thursday evening for the next ten weeks from 5:00pm to 9:00pm on 4th street behind the Capitol Theater.  The music is free at this family friendly event and each week will feature a variety styles and genres from jazz, pop and country to rock, blues and funk.

To kick things off this week at 5:15 is Yakima’s own Nikki J.  She’s performed in area bands for a number of years including a couple of great performances at Yakima’s Got Talent.  The second act is Seattle’s Cracker Factory which is on the door step of a milestone.  This Saturday marks the release of the band’s  4th studio album, Chasing Ghosts.

The headliner for week one is another band from Seattle, McTuff.  McTuff is comprised of Joe Doria, Andy Coe and Tarik Abouzied and have played a number of festivals including Bumbershoot, New Orleans Jazz Fest and others. They’re set to bring some jazz and funk to the streets of downtown Yakima.  Check ‘em out and them come see them live for Downtown Summer Nights  presented by Stewart Subaru!
