It's swarm season in the beekeeping industry and they need your help. It's that time of year when people find the large swarms in trees and bushes...or just about anywhere else. Terri Towner is the Swarm Coordinator for the Central Washington Beekeepers Association who says if you see a swarm do not spray them instead call Towner. "They're looking for a place to land until their scouts can find a new home. They're there to protect the queen that's why the ball up." She says there's no danger if you don't provoke or poke the swarm. She says beekeepers from your area will be called to remove the bees.
