It is often said that need knows no season and a local company is looking to help the less fortunate this Saturday.

Employees from Granite Construction will be collecting food at two area grocery stores to help Northwest Harvest. Their website says that Northwest Harvest is Washington's own statewide hunger relief agency.

Food and other donations will be collected at the Wray's IGA located at 56th Ave and Summitview as well as the Fred Meyer on 40th Avenue near the Highway 12 on-ramp. Granite Construction employees will be there to gather food until 6:00 p.m.

For more information on Northwest Harvest, anyone can call them at 509-469-0531.
