In the face of a major drug epidemic cutting a swath across the county and with overdose deaths at unprecedented levels, law enforcement is leaving no option on the table in a effort to sniff out drugs. Up to and including the latest lizard technology!

According to United Press International, the next chapter in crime fighting for the Avondale, Arizona police Department is: Enter The Dragon.  Not a 1973 Bruce Lee martial arts movie but a real live dragon -bearded dragon lizard named IROH.

There is new research that shows reptiles have a stronger sense of smell than dogs when it comes to identifying narcotics so Avondale’s police chief swore in the scaly recruit last Thursday.
