Dave’s Diary: Seeing Red Would Seem to be a Good Thing

Matadors will tell you that the bull attacks when it see red…Women will tell you they'll attacks when they see red as well….ok, knock it off but there does seem to be some science behind the attractive nature of the color red. New York's University of Rochester professor Dr. Andrew Elliot ran an experiment in which a photo of a moderately handsome man was digitally doctored to depict him wearing various colors and framed with different hues, and any shot that contained red in either the photo or the frame consistently was seen as being more attractive and desirable.

Shades of red are associated across the animal kingdom with power, passion and fertility and says Elliot, "Our findings suggest that the link between red and sex also applies to men." Wearing red may make men feel more self assured.  Even science agrees that there is something to be said about a person wearing red.
