A 24-year-old man was arrested Saturday night after a head-on crash near the intersection of North First Avenue and West I Street that injured several people. Police say he was under the influence of alcohol.

The crash was reported at 9:15 p.m. Saturday when a 24-year-old man driving a Ford Mustang was traveling West on West I Street when he crossed into the other lane of traffic and struck a Dodge vehicle.

The driver in the Dodge, identified as a 37-year-old, suffered injuries along with a 13-year-old passenger. Both were taken to a Yakima hospital.

The suspect was treated for a leg injury and arrested for DUI. A 19-year-old female passenger in the suspect’s car was also injured and taken to a Yakima hospital.

Police say none of the injuries are life threatening.
