County Sheriff’s Says Crowd at Lower Valley Cock Fight was Less Than Reported

Yakima County Sheriff's officials now say the count was way off in that chicken fight arrest in Zillah over the weekend. On Monday a 56-year-old man was in court on charges of organizing the chicken or cockfight at a Zillah farm on Saturday. Deputies first said upwards of a thousand people were there. Today, they say the crowd was more like 200. Deputies say they seized 8 guns and tools used to outfit the chickens with claws to fight other chickens. The 56-year-old man arrested was the foreman of the ranch where the incident happened.
