The Yakima County Commissioners meet at 10:00 this morning at Yakima City Hall to talk about the 2015 budget.

Part of that budget includes the possibility of hiring new deputies for the Yakima County Sheriff's Office. Currently 54 deputies patrol the county but officials say they could use more.

County officials say bed rental sales have been successful and resulted in a surplus of $700,000 that county officials want to use to hire more deputies.

The commissioners are expected to talk more about the 2015 budget during the meeting today at Yakima city hall.
