City Road Work Could Impact Your Drive In Town
Your commute could be affected by road work again this week. City officials say a section of Pacific Avenue between Third and Sixth streets will be closed to traffic for about two weeks while a road improvement project is underway.
The project includes grinding and overlaying the road surface along Pacific Avenue. The project is expected to be completed by Aug. 28.
Throughout the project, that section of Pacific Avenue will be closed from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. It will be open to local traffic overnight during the project, however.
Detours around the project area will be available, but because of heavy traffic volumes, drivers still can expect delays in and around the project area until the work is completed.
