The Yakima City Council meets for the first time in 2014 Tuesday and the agenda already has the council busy on its first day on the job.

The council will swear in Dave Ettl, Bill Lover and Micah Cawley who each had run successful campaigns in 2013.

Tomorrow could also be the last day as the mayor for Cawley who has been in that role for two terms. Cawley says he has been lobbying for a third term. Councilwoman Kathy Coffee is also vying for the post.

The council is expected to elect a new mayor and assistant mayor when they meet at 6:00 p.m. at Yakima City Hall.

The full agenda can be found on the city's website.
