City Council Close To Naming Next City Manager

3 people who want the job of Yakima City Manager will spend another day in Yakima today. Jim Payne, Tim Hacker and Don Cooper were put through a series of public interviews Tuesday where they were questioned by city council members and members of a citizen committee. Today the interviews continue with city council members interviewing each candidate in private. The council is expected to meet this afternoon and could name the top pick for City Manager by next Tuesday.
