Dave’s Diary: Teens Sexting Signals Other Sexual Risk Taking

All the more reason for parents to be on the lookout for their kid’s cell phone behavior.  If you catch them sending sex based messages, don’t let them try to tell you it’s no big deal. According to a study from the School of Social Work at the University of Southern Californian teens who engage in "sexting" -- that is, sending and receiving sexually explicit texts and images -- are most likely taking other sexual risks, too.

7000 Yakima Bike Racks Being Recalled

 

DETROIT (AP) — Yakima is recalling about 7,000 bicycle racks used on vehicles with rear-door spare tires.

Documents posted on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration website Friday say that mounting bolts can break and the bikes can fall from the vehicles and cause a hazard.

The older I get the more this phrase makes sense to me. “Control the language and you control the debate.”  Political correctness and hyper sensitivity have us more on guard about what we say than ever in my lifetime.  Now it turns out there is a word you should never say at work…in fact it is being called the most dangerous word you could ever say at work.  What is it?  It's "try." Brad Hoover, CEO of Grammarly.com, an automated proofreader and personal grammar coach says the word "try" is "short, sweet and fraught with peril"!
