Robinson Cano hit a three-run home run and Mark Teixeira followed with a solo shot as part of New York's six-run third inning Thursday night,  That was all the New York Yankees needed in a 6-1 win over the Seattle Mariners at Safeco Field.   Phil Hughes went seven innings and picked up the win for the Yankees to go to 3-4.  Aaron Hurang was tagged for eight hits and six runs in the third inning for his sixth loss against only two wins.  One bright spot for the Mariners was Blake Beaven , who pitched six and two-thirds innings of one-hit baseball in relief.  The Mariners host the Yankees in game two of a three game series at Safeco Field.
