Businesses Can Thank Vets With New Program

If you own a business in Yakima County you have a new way to thank veterans in the community by getting involved in a new program in the area.

Scott Moore with Fidlar Technology has partnered with the County Auditor's office and has established a website where veterans can sign up for the free honors program to get discounts on goods and services.

Once they are signed up, veterans will get a free ID card they can use at participating businesses.

“We want to invite the merchant community and invite them to show their appreciation for the veterans by offering some discount for showing the honor rewards card.”

If business owners are interested, they can log into the Honor Rewards website and sign up. Moore says it is a way to increase customers and thank area veterans at the same time.

Veterans can also sign up for a card at the same website.
