Burglary Suspect Arrested In West Valley

Yakima Police arrested a burglary suspect they were searching for in the West Valley area last night. It started when and officer spotted the suspect climbing through the window of a home in the 66 hundred block of Skyline Avenue. The suspect fled and police set up a perimeter between 66th and 72nd Avenues. The suspect was eventually arrested in the crawl space of a duplex in the 74 hundred block of Summitview. Police believe the suspect, who hasn't been identified may be responsible for several recent home burglaries reported in the West Valley area. The suspect is being held in the county jail.
