Detectives with the Yakima County Sheriff's office say the body found near Toppenish Wednesday is that of a female believed to be less than 30-years-old. A autopsy on Thursday indicate the woman may have died from a gunshot wound but the pathologist Won't remove what's believed to be a bullet until later Today. If it is a bullet then a homicide investigation will begin.
The woman is described as standing 5' 5" tall with a light to medium build with dark hair and dark eyes. The autopsy found she was missing four front teeth before her death. She's believed to have died between November and the first week of January. She was found under a bridge on Highway 97 near Toppenish on Wednesday.
