John Riggs was born and raised in Yakima. He moved away from Washington state for about 10 years, but moved back home, bringing along his wife and three kids. You'll find John in town snapping photos when he's covering new business openings, especially restaurants. He loves to help spread the word, and to encourage folks to shop local first. John also loves to travel, always looking for quick weekend getaways, attending events, and fan expos around the country. Don't be too shy to say, "Hi!"

It’s Chocomania at your local Krispy Kreme this Month
Krispy Kreme is always doing something fun to keep you coming back for more. Just about any time of year they'll feature limited edition doughnuts for a little while until the next holiday comes up.

I Experienced the New ‘InBody’ Composition Scan at Yakima Athletic Club
The other day I heard about this new thing you can do at the Yakima Athletic Club called an InBody 570. It's so much more than just a scale. Think of it like a scale but instead of just a full-body weight it weighs each individual limb (each arm, each leg, etc) as well as water retention, muscle mass, and a lot more...

These Giant Cookies are Worth a Stop in Moses Lake, WA
I was on my way back from Spokane over the weekend where we decided to stop in Moses Lake. We actually like Moses Lake quite a bit as it has some cool shops and restaurants and it's nice for the drive back to Yakima as it breaks the trip up so instead of driving 3 straight hours it's right in the middle so an hour and a half there, then an hour and a half home...

Best Spring Break Beaches in WA
Spring Break is often a time to celebrate the end of colder days and the start of a warmer season upon us. To many, I truly believe partially in thanks to Mtv, the beach seems to be the place to be for Spring Break. And, though, most of the time when you think 'beach' you think of Florida or SoCal or Hawaii but our Washington beaches have a lot of charm to them as well...
