My family and I have seen a number of great holiday movies recently and enjoyed them all. We love the previews for coming attractions too and a future flick that looks amazing is a new Disney movie about the life of bears. It features fabulous photography and an engrossing story-- which brings to mind the many fascinating features of nature’s creatures.
Heads up bridal show attendees. Beware the seven year itch and the seven year boredom check! If you find marriage boring after seven years, it doesn't get any better. All the excited brides and grooms attending this weekend’s event at the Sundome are thinking happily ever after but there is a reality check up ahead.
By Jove he’s done it again! Another great think piece by Don Brunell, president of the Association of Washington Business. This time around he’s thinking about a fresh start in the New Year and about how badly a fresh start is needed in state and local government! Check out the latest from Mr. B.:
The magic feeling of Christmas is beginning to fade as we plow on to the new year. But before we leave December behind, let’s remember one more time the reason for the season and the birth of Christ. Maybe you plan to work on your spirituality in the new year. Here’s some food for thought.
T-Minus four days and counting until you launch your latest round of New Year’s resolutions. You know, a repeat of the same ones you’ve launched the past 10 years. But maybe, just maybe you are going to add a new one to the mix. Say for example NOT to tell lies in the new year. Good luck…it seems that one is in the blood!
Happy National Fruitcake day! (That could be just about every day around here but I digress) A tradition to some a running gag for others, the fruitcake never seems to get respect. And many never get eaten! A recent study shows that a third of fruitcakes sold every year are never eaten.
The countdown to Christmas is closing in. As the time shrinks the tension grows—BUT-- the holidays don't have to stress you out. You can have a holly jolly Christmas with more "ho, ho, ho" and less "go, go, go," says top psychiatrist Dr
We have shared the thoughts Association of Washington Business president Don Brunell at time or two in the past. As we stand in the midst of the holiday season between Thanksgiving and Christmas it’s time once again to check in the with the wisdom and ideas of Mr. Brunell on the topic of keeping the holiday spirit all year long. We teach our kids that it is better to give than receive and that’s a thought that should empower us 365.
