Congratulations to two tough ladies who will go down in history after becoming the first females to graduate from the Army's Ranger School.

The women are Captain Kristen Griest and First Lieutenant Shaye Haver, both of them West Point graduates in their 20s. Griest is a military police officer from Connecticut and Haver is an Apache helicopter pilot who comes from Texas.

The school, which was opened to women beginning in April, is "designed to teach students how to overcome fatigue, hunger and stress."   Students have to navigate through a series of obstacle courses, a five-mile run that must be finished in 40 minutes and other grueling tests that pushed everyone to their limits.

While Griest and Haver will be awarded the Ranger Tab, they won't be allowed to be part of the Ranger regiment.   Equality among Men and Women in the Army's BEST is a serious accomplishment that deserves recognition.  Well Played.
