I just read a story about a guy who almost died while showing off for his drinking buddies when his “pet” rattlesnake bit him inside his mouth.  News flash sir.  It’s a snake—a poisonous snake!  They don’t make warm pet-like attachments.  They are cold blooded and the only attachments they make are when their fangs puncture you!

I’ve never liked snakes and would never have one as a pet but even our most loyal pets can prove deadly.

Dogs AND snakes are on the list of America’s most lethal creatures as compiled by Men’s Health magazine.

U.S. deaths from 2002 to 2006:

1. 315 deaths due to hornets, wasps, and bees
2. 142 deaths due to dogs
3. 46 deaths due to spiders
4. 26 deaths due to snakes
5. 4 deaths due to alligator and crocodiles
