Woman Robbed Going To Work

A 60-year-old woman walking to work at the Bakery Outlet in downtown Yakima was assaulted and robbed May 15. Yakima Police say a man approached the woman from behind and hit her in the head as she was walking toward a back door. The employee was reportedly carrying a bank bag with an undisclosed amount of money inside. When the victim fell to the ground, the suspect grabbed the bag. The suspect was last seen running barefoot from the store in a floral shirt. The victim suffered minor injuries and was treated at regional hospital.
