16 Year Old Arrested For Selah Brush Fire That Damaged Homes.

A 16 year old was arrested Monday after a brush fire burned a hillside and damaged two homes in Selah. Witnesses say they saw a boy start the fire on the base of the hillside. The fire broke out around 2:00 p.m. Monday just above Wixson Park in Selah, behind Robert Lince elementary school. The fire burned the roof of one home and the deck of another. Noone was injured. Yakima firefighters were first on the scene. Selah crews were fighting a fire in the Wenas valley when the hillside fire started. The fire was contained in about an hour.

The teen faces charges this week in county juvenile court.
