Yakima’s Homeless Problem Continues To Worsen
The President of the Greater Yakima Chamber of Commerce, Verlynn Best appeared on KIT's Morning News Thursday morning to talk about the ongoing problems of homelessness in Yakima and particularly the downtown core area.
Best raised the issue with other city leaders several years back and she says nothing has improved since then. A couple of downtown business people joined Best to explain how the lack of a successful solution is compromising Yakima's potential and undercutting Yakima's current value.
Check out the interview here and then plan to attend the Chamber lead conversation on the homeless problem March 9, 2020 from 3-5 pm at the Chamber of Commerce 10 N. 9th st.
