
Yakima’s Harvest Marching Band Festival Set for October 18
If you love the sound of a marching band you'll want to be at Yakima's Zaepfel Stadium on Saturday October 18 for the 24th annual Harvest Marching Band Festival. The event at Zaepfel Stadium at Eisenhower High School starts at 9:15 am.
REAL MUSIC FROM ALL AROUND THE PNW
18 bands from Washington state will be competing in the competition. That means hundreds of musicians representing high school marching bands from all around the Pacific Northwest. Each band will perform a 10-minute show including wind and percussion musicians, flag teams, rifle squads and dance teams. Big crowds are expected so you might want to get your tickets today.

THE SOUND STARTS AT 9:15 AM
If you'd like to see local marching bands you'll want to be there beginning at 9:15 am. for the preliminaries. Starting at 9:30 am you can watch local bands including bands from Sunnyside, Highland, Naches Valley and West Valley High Schools.
EXHIBITION PERFORMANCES SET
You can watch exhibition performances starting at 11:30 am by A.C. Davis High School and 8:15 pm by Eisenhower High School. The top bands advance to the finals which are set for 4:15 to 8:15 pm. If you'd just like to attend the finals the cost is $10.
The cost for the full day is $15 for adults and $10 for students and seniors. Imagine a day of real music you don't have to download to listen.
