The moment Davis High School Seniors and their families had waited for, worked for, and, in many ways, willed to happen, finally came! The Class of 2021 has persevered as no other Senior Class has. Graduation - tassels tossed and caps flung high - DHS went out with a bang! (literally!)

Fireworks thundered overhead as the large crowd of proud families, faculty and students alike, wrapped up a lovely and moving evening at Zaepfel Stadium, sending this amazing crop of the leaders of tomorrow into their respective futures.

All in attendance were treated to absolutely perfect weather and a very well executed commencement ceremony, accented with motivating speeches, inspiring personal stories, and beautiful music.

While the class of 2020 was deprived of such a memorable night due to the pandemic, the class of 2021 had to endure much more, having gone through last year's challenging school year, and the current year as well. One cannot help but feel great admiration for all of the students who wouldn't give up, the teachers and administrators who guided them, and the parents and families who supported and facilitated the at-home classrooms.

As one of the many proud parents in attendance last evening, the collective pride and satisfaction were palpable, as this class of amazing kids received their due recognition for a job well done. Congratulations to our own Anna Stephenson, who is going to attend The University of Washington in the fall. Go Huskies!
