Yakima Woman Dies of Injuries After Tuesday Crash On Highway 12

The Washington State Patrol says a 40-year-old woman from Yakima died as a result of her injuries after a crash on Highway 12 Tuesday. They say Maria Jimenez was driving her vehicle westbound near the 40th Avenue exit when she crossed the median into the eastbound lanes and struck a vehicle being driven by 72-year-old Robert Hoss. Both drivers were taken to a Yakima hospital with serious injuries where Jimenez died on Tuesday night. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
