Local and State advocates who want to stop the Yakima Valley School in Selah from being closed by State lawmakers are meeting tonight. The school for the developmentally disabled is set to be closed in December of 2012 if 3 State Senators get enough support for a bill in the Legislature. The measure would close the facility in Yakima and another in Bremerton. A meeting to talk about the closure and what can be done to head it off is set for 6:30 tonight at Childrens Village in Yakima.
