Yakima Valley Calendar of Events Halloween Weekend Oct. 27-29

What are your weekend plans? This is the last week of October, so let’s send the month outta here with a bag–full of Halloween candy and treats! If you are looking for some fun local events and things to do in the Yakima Valley, we’ve got this weekend’s lineup.

You will find quite a few trunk or treat events in places like church parking lots and inside small business shops. Check out some live music from some happening bands or the symphony. Sip on some hoppy beer at local breweries. Explore local cultural gems and attend high-brow events. Share your love for Sasquatch at Bigfoot Con or cheer on the slow pitch tournament games.

LOOK: How Halloween has changed in the past 100 years

Stacker compiled a list of ways that Halloween has changed over the last 100 years, from how we celebrate it on the day to the costumes we wear trick-or-treating. We’ve included events, inventions, and trends that changed the ways that Halloween was celebrated over time. Many of these traditions were phased out over time.
