
Yakima Shooting Claims Life of 21-Year-Old, 1-Year-Old Injured
A tragic shooting on Sunday night in Yakima has resulted in the death of a 21-year-old man and left a 1-year-old male in stable condition at a Yakima hospital. The incident happened at about 10:40 PM in the 1400 block of Folsom Avenue, prompting a call to the police after a report of a person crying.
BOTH VICTIMS WERE FOUND AT THE SCENE WITH GUNSHOT WOUNDS
When they arrived officers discovered both victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Police say the 21-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene, while the 1-year-old was transported to Multicare Yakima Memorial Hospital, where he remains in stable condition.
NO SUSPECT OR SUSPECTS HAVE BEEN ARRESTED
As the investigation unfolds, police have not yet identified a suspect and are urging the public for assistance. A press release confirmed that the next of kin of the deceased has been notified, but authorities are withholding the individual’s name to give the family the necessary time to make their own notifications.
