Yakima County Sheriff Bob Udell says he doesn't expect to get a call to help enforce the governor's request for certain businesses to shut down during the coronavirus threat. If that call were to be made, it would ring at the Washington State Patrol.

However, the sheriff says his deputies routinely deal with people in unhealthy and possibly contagious circumstances, so his team is ready to help county residents as needed.

So far there are five confirmed cases of coronavirus in Yakima County.
