Yakima Rescue Crew Finds Two Boaters After Log Overturns Boat on Yakima River

Two men were able to get to shore after their boat capsized on the Yakima river Monday afternoon. Firefighters were called after someone spotted the mens' empty boat floating down the river near the Terrace Heights bridge. Authorities searched the river and surrounding areas and eventually found two young men who told them the boat overturned after hitting a log. They were able to swim to shore. The two were not wearing life jackets. The boat was found at Robertson Landing downstream.
