Yakima Police Urge Property Owners to Remove Graffiti ASAP
Yakima Police say graffiti is always a big problem in Yakima and nothing has changed during the COVID-19 pandemic. Capt. Jay Seely says much of the graffiti seen on local buildings, fences and walls is gang related graffiti. He says the faster the graffiti is removed the less impact it has and there's less of a chance of seeing more graffiti. The city office of Neighborhood Development is helping people paint out graffiti but they need permission from property owners to do the work.
