Yakima Police Searching For Person-of-Interest in Murder

Yakima Police are looking for a person of interest in connection with Saturday's killing of a 31-year-old woman identified as Tara Owen of Yakima. Authorities are searching for 30-year-old Cornelio Gutierrez hoping to talk to him about the details of the shooting. Owen was found shot dead in an alley in the 1100 block of Folsom Avenue. Police say she had attended a party at 1108 Folsom Avenue and was in the alley near her car talking to three people when she was shot and killed. Two people in the alley then took off in her car. Police say they've talked to those two people and recovered the vehicle. But they're still looking for a third person, 30-year-old Cornelio Gutierrez. They say the shooting was not gang related.
