Authorities say they always seen an increase in robberies at this time of year and this year is no different. Last Thursday two suspects robbed the Big Wolf mini mart at the corner of S Camas Ave and US Hwy 97. On Friday Yakima Police reported a robbery at A&A Mini Mart on North 5th Avenue and then early Monday morning another robbery was reported in Terrace Heights. The latest robbery was reported at about 12:30 a.m. Monday
The Yakima County Sheriff's Office says two suspects wearing masks walked into the store in the 3900 block of Terrace Heights Drive demanding cash. The suspects grabbed the cash and fled on foot.
No injuries have been reported in any of the robberies.
But Yakima Police say they made an arrest in Friday's robbery of the A&A Mini Mart in Yakima.

Authorities say the 22-year-old suspect was arrested after being spotted near the store on Sunday. The suspect left after an employee called police.
Officers found and stopped his vehicle near the intersection of 16th Avenue and Fruitvale Boulevard.  While searching the suspect police found a handgun that belonged to an employee of the A&A Mini Mart.  The gun, along with an undisclosed amount of money, was taken during the robbery on Friday night. A news release from the Yakima Police Departments says police believe the suspect "entered A&A Mini Mart at about 8:40 pm Friday, pointed an assault-type rifle at the clerk and demanded money.  Police found a rifle matching the description provided by witnesses in the vehicle Serrano-Dominguez was in when he was arrested."
Police know the robberies can turn deadly. Yakima Police detectives continue the search for two murder suspects wanted in the 2017 fatal shooting of 25-year-old Vikrum Jaryal a clerk at the AM/PM on east Yakima Avenue who was killed during robbery.
