Yakima Mobile Home Residents Boiling Water

Residents in the regal mobile estates at 2700 Fruitvale Blvd. were told earlier this month to begin boiling water or use bottled water because of the e-coli detection in two wells. The owners of the park are working with Yakima City officials and hope to soon have the park hooked up to the city water system. until the work is complete residents will continue to boil drinking water or use bottled water.
Yakima City crews will start the work on Monday. During the work there will be traffic restrictions on Fruitvale Boulevard between North 24th Avenue and North 28th Avenue. All the work is expected to be completed by Friday, October 5. Work on the project will begin at 7:00 a.m. and last until 3:30 p.m. each day.
Traffic will be limited to one lane in both directions in the project area. Because of heavy traffic volumes on Fruitvale Boulevard, drivers can expect delays.
