Authorities are intensifying their search for 45-year-old Gianni Philip Alaimo, who is wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of his 37-year-old girlfriend on Friday near Parker. She's been identified as Heather Renee England from Yakima. Alaimo is facing a murder charge and is considered a fugitive following the tragic incident.

THE SUSPECT HAD BEEN ARRESTED THE DAY BEFORE THE MURDER

The situation escalated quickly after Alaimo had been arrested just a day prior, on Thursday, for second-degree malicious mischief and reckless endangerment stemming from a heated argument with the same woman he allegedly killed. According to an article in the Yakima Herald Republic, despite his criminal history, a Yakima County Superior Court judge, Jared Boswell, granted him pre-trial release, allowing him to leave jail with an order to maintain no contact with the victim.

DEPUTIES FOUND THE WOMAN DEAD AT A HOME ON FRIDAY

Police were hopeful that Alaimo would be held on high bail, but the judge's decision has come under scrutiny following the turn of events. Reports indicate that Alaimo did not adhere to the court's order, leading to the tragic outcome. On Friday, deputies from the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call at a residence in the 100 block of Mellis Road. Upon arrival, they discovered the body England who had been shot. Alaimo had fled the scene by the time authorities arrived.
