Yakima Man Shot On North Second Street

Yakima Police say a man was shot while standing in the front yard of his home in the 800 block of North Second Street at about 12:50 p.m. Wednesday (Nov. 2). Police spokesman Mike Bastinelli said authorities were searching for a suspect.

Meantime, area schools were placed on lockdown earlier while the search continued.

Bastinelli said the suspect was last seen fleeing in a vehicle. The victim, who has not been identified, was shot in the head. Bastinelli said the victim was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.

The investigation continues.
