Yakima Man Killed in One Vehicle Crash on Highway 12

Washington State Patrol Troopers say a 61-year-old Yakima man was killed in a one vehicle crash on Highway 12 Saturday night. They say Jeffrey Brownlee was driving his Jeep Grand Cherokee westbound on Highway 12 at Nelson Bridge two miles west of Yakima when he lost control and struck a guardrail. He died at the scene of the crash.

Washington State Patrol Troopers say the cause is excessive speed. They didn't say whether drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.

The crash was reported at about 11:30 p.m. Saturday.
