The Junior League of Yakima does a lot of great things around the community in volunteering and fundraising and according to a news release we received today, they are about to double down on on-going greatness by grooming the next generation of of young female leaders.  What the League has in mind is a leadership summit for middle school girls set for Saturday April 14th  with the goal of providing a safe space for middle school girls to meet and talk about the kinds of issues young women face today.

The list of topics include:Girls Power: My Body & My Mind, Keeping Cool Under Stress, Vision & Goal Setting, and Knowing Your Worth.

This year 75 Select Yakima Middle School Girls from Washington Middle School, Franklin Middle School, Wilson Middle School, Lewis and Clark Middle School were nominated by their school counselors to attend.
