This is a tough time of year for many low income people in the Yakima valley and it's the reason why area food banks are seeing and increasing number of people every week.

YOU CAN MAKE AN IMPACT TODAY

We can all help by donating to a special food collection for both people and pets. Keller Williams Yakima Valley, a local real estate company is holding a special food drive until December 4. They've launched the “Fill the Trailer, Feed the Town” food drive to support Sunrise Outreach Center of Yakima which has food pantries in Yakima, Wapato, Sunnyside, Mabton, Wiley City and White Swan.

A COLD TOUGH TIME AHEAD

So far this year the food pantries have served more than 3,800 families and the year isn't over yet. Perhaps the toughest time of the year is coming up when the weather turns cold and the holidays leave a lot of people looking for food and feeling lonely. You can help make and impact on people and families this holiday season but donating today to the “Fill the Trailer, Feed the Town” food drive.

Keller Williams Yakima Valley officials are collecting non-perishable food and unopened pet food at Keller Williams office now through December 4, with the goal of filling an entire trailer with donations.

Keller Williams Yakima Valley is located at 1017 S 40th Avenue in Yakima. You can drop off donations Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and on Saturday 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
