Yakima Food Box Giveaway Tuesday, July 28

The Yakima Salvation Army has been helping families hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Officials say they continue to see big crowds at food giveaways and the food bank. Another big crowd is expected Tuesday, July 28 when the Yakima Salvation Army holds another drive through food distribution. This time the distribution is in the evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. or until all the boxes are gone.
The food distribution will be held at the Salvation Army at 9 South 6th Avenue. Drivers line up on 6th Avenue and drive through the store's back parking lot to pick up a food box.
